Hamburg midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has stunned Juventus officials by declaring he wants a move to Spain at the end of the season.

Less than week after admitting he was hopeful of joining Juventus, Van der Vaart told Focus magazine: "My preference is to go to Spain, because my mother is from there."

Valencia and Atletico Madrid have been credited with interest in the Holland international.
