Juventus captain Alessandro del Piero is out of hospital.

The veteran was admitted as a precautionary measure following a kick in the head during Sunday's 2-0 win over Cesena.

The 37-year-old needed eight stitches after Marco Rossi's boot made contact with the Italian World Cup winner's face.

"Just released," the former Padova player wrote on his Facebook page. "Everything's fine. Ale."
