Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli insists coach Claudio Ranieri's job is safe.

Cobolli Gigli said: "I do not want controversy. I know the local press have expressed their views and we respect, but do not share them. Ranieri is not in doubt, the game against Real Madrid will not be decisive for him."

He added: "I won't forget the experience in Serie B, but I must say that the current moment is the worst since I came here. The international break has come at the right time."
