Juventus open Lazio talks for Pandev

Juventus management have identified Goran Pandev as Alessandro del Piero's successor. Pandev declared this week he is leaving Lazio and Gazzetta dello Sport says Juve have already opened talks with the Rome club about a deal for the Macedonia international.

However, Juve must sell David Trezeguet - either to Spain or England - to fund their bid for Pandev, who is being lined up as an eventual replacement for club captain Del Piero.

Meanwhile, Juve officials are in Germany this week for talks with Stuttgart over young defender Serdar Tasci.

A swap is being discussed with Trezeguet and Olof Mellberg mentioned as potential makeweights.
