Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon says there's no chance of retirement after victory over AS Monaco in the first-leg of their Champions League quarterfinal.
Buffon was asked about his plans to play into his 40's.
He said: "People say I cannot play at 37, 38 or 39, but I think someone should stop the day he steps on to the field and doesn't seem like him anymore. I don't believe that's the case right now.
"As long as I'm in good shape, why should I retire? It'd be a waste! I've never wanted to embarrass myself at the end of my career, so I'll stop a moment before that!
"I always say the older you get, the more you have to prove."
