Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci says Jose Mourinho's arrival makes Tottenham a Champions League contender this season.

The Old Lady secured their place in the next round with a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in Group D after four wins and one draw, while Tottenham will progress as runners-up from Group B behind Bayern Munich.

"If I need to pick a team to avoid, I would say Tottenham," Bonucci told Sport Mediaset.

"Mourinho may give them something extra in certain games.

"A lot can change between now and the last 16, but with this change Tottenham are back on track, with all respect to Pochettino."
