Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri has revealed Giorgio Chiellini is edging closer to a return.

Chiellini has missed all but one game of the season so far, but Sarri says the 35-year-old is close to a comeback.

“We are on schedule after his surgery, at the moment he is training with the group," said Sarri.

“He is important for us, as far as playing in games is concerned, I think we will have to take it on a day-by-day basis and listen to him."

Juve meet Hellas Verona this weekend.
