Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara is ready to recall Alessandro del Piero for today's clash with Udinese.

The captain has barely featured all season due to a succession of injuries.

"In the last two weeks Del Piero has trained very well, but in evaluating if he can start or not we must take into account the fact he hasn't played in a long time," warned Ferrara.

"Does he fit into the 4-2-3-1 system? I think he has everything it takes. Of course I cannot ask him to cover the whole flank, but we have proved in training he can do well in this role.

"His return is crucial both for what he can do on the field and the charisma he transmits to all of his teammates."
