Juventus coach Gigi del Neri has dropped Diego from his Europa League squad for their tie with Sturm Graz.
It was reported yesterday that Wolfsburg have raised their offer to 20m, so Diego is set to leave this week.
"Transfer talk does disturb the concentration of players, so it's only right at this moment to leave them relaxed to focus on the decisions they have to make," explained Del Neri.
Only last week the Coach had declared Diego would be staying in Turin, but his protests were apparently overruled.
"The transfer market evolves and technical decisions are always part of a dialogue with the club. The Coach puts forth his ideas, but it's a continual balance between technique and economic concerns.
"We'll see how things go from now to August 31. I never said I was unhappy with Diego, as he is a great professional and marvellous player. So far he has always behaved very well and done his duty."
