Stevan Jovetic says Fiorentina are going for automatic Champions League qualification after their thumping win over Inter Milan.

The Viola thrashed Inter 4-1 yesterday.

"We are very happy and I want to thank our fans who supported us throughout a difficult period," said Jovetic.

"We really needed this result to shake us up. Now we must immediately focus on Bologna and getting a result there too, as we need to continue like this.

"Tonight I played as a centre-forward, which in general I don't like as much, but I did pretty well. I scored two goals and am very happy.

"We have always believed in third place, as we continued to play well even when the results were not coming. Tonight's game shows the important thing is consistency."
