Napoli attacker Jose Callejon says they were "perfect" for their 2-0 defeat of Champions League opponents Liverpool.
Dries Mertens converted a penalty and Fernando Llorente made the most of a Virgil van Dijk error at the Stadio San Paolo for a 2-0 result.
“The first game in the group is always important, even more so against the holders Liverpool," Callejon told Sky Sport Italia.
“We put in practically the perfect performance. We've faced them so many times that we know them tactically by now and did everything right.
“It's tough to play against Liverpool, as they are always dangerous with those three on the counter. We did very well in defence and created many scoring opportunities.
“We must be aware of our strength and we proved ourselves against the Champions of Europe. We can't stop now."
