Phil Jones says he is prepared to do everything he can to getting back into the Manchester United first team.
The 20-year old defender has played just 96 minutes of football this season because of a knee injury he sustained in September but feels he is now ready for action if Sir Alex Ferguson needs to call on him.
Jones, who played a full 90 in the 1-0 Champions League loss to Galatasaray less than two weeks ago, came on as a late substitute in the 1-0 Premier League victory over West Ham United on Wednesday and says he is keen for more action ahead of the weekend's trip to Reading.
"I feel fit and strong," he said.
"Obviously I haven't played a lot of minutes yet. But I felt good in the game I have had, and it was quite a difficult one to come back into.
"It is going to take a while to get my match fitness back but hopefully I can pick up some more minutes as the season progresses."
