Jermaine Jones struck a sublime goal for Schalke as they defeated VfB Stuttgart 3-0 in Gelsenkirchen on the weekend.
The USA international received a pass from Roman Neustadter just over 20 yards out from goal before flicking the ball up to himself and then driving a half-volley into Stuttgart keeper Sven Ulreich's top right corner following Jefferson Farfan's earlier double.
It was Jones' first league goal since September last year and first goal in any competition since February when he drew Schalke level with Galatasaray in the Champions League.
The victory - their third in their past four outings - allowed Schalke to move up to fifth on the Bundesliga table ahead of the weekend's trip to fourth-placed Borussia Monchengladbach,
