Manchester United defender Phil Jones says the dressing room is bouncing after their Capital One Cup win over Liverpool.
The Reds hit back from last Sunday's derby defeat with a positive display in a highly entertaining Cup encounter at Old Trafford to secure a place in the fourth round of the competition. Jones praised the support from the fans on the night and says the result and performance has boosted everyone in the squad.
"It was a great result. We had to win the game, especially having got beaten in the league at Anfield and we obviously wanted to bounce back after the disappointing result last weekend. So it was a positive result and hopefully we can kick on from here," he told ManUtd.com.
"The atmosphere was brilliant but the fans always get behind us. The other night was one of those special nights where you beat your big rivals and the fans are up on their feet singing and cheering. It was a great night for everyone."
