Jonas Olsson is set to sign new terms with West Bromwich Albion.
The Daily Star says the influential Swedish defender, 29, has been in talks all summer, with his contract with the Baggies set to expire at the end of the season.
His agent Martin Dahlin was at the club's training ground last night attempting to finalise a new deal.
West Brom boss Steve Clarke said: "Discussions are ongoing, so I'm not lying when I say that.
"In the matches I've been here, he's been terrific."
