Jolley leaves Crewe for Burnley coaching post

Michael Jolley has left Crewe Alexandra for Burnley.

Jolley began his coaching career at Crystal Palace in 2003 and has also worked at Nottingham Forest, Falkirk and Lincoln City before taking up his role at Crewe Alexandra.

"I'm really excited to get started, it's obviously a great time to be joining the club with them going towards the Premier League," Jolley told Burnley's official website.

"There is a lot of good work going on underneath that so I'm looking forward to it.

"Working at Crewe Alexandra who are renowned for bringing through young talent under someone like Dario Gradi is a fantastic experience for any young coach.

"I certainly learnt a lot from working there and hopefully I can apply some of the things I have learnt there here at Burnley.

"They had a good year last year but the group changes and it is a new group this that we've got to work with this year.

"We want to do well in the competitions again but really it is about players making the transition from the U21 setup and into the first-team squad."
