Fulham boss Martin Jol says he's building a new team this season.

Dimitar Berbatov and Mladen Petric have done their bit to plug the gaps left by Clint Dempsey and Moussa Dembele.

But boss Jol, who visits Wigan today, knows it will be tough to better last season's ninth-placed finish.

He said: "We have to build again and take two steps back to go forward again.

"Dembele was my best player on the ball and Dempsey was my top scorer."
