Johnson keen on making Aberdeen trial permanent

Aberdeen trialist Reda Johnson would seriously consider a move to the Dons should the opportunity arise. The France-born Benin international has spent the past week at the club's training camp in Austria and impressed at centre-half in Saturday's defeat to 1860 Munich.

"My agent will speak with the coach and we will see what happens," the 21 year old told the Press and Journal.

"There are a lot of things to consider, the offer from Aberdeen, Amiens, the advice from my agent.

"I like hard football. In France the football isn't hard. In England and Scotland it's a lot more physical, more of a battle, and I enjoy that.

"I knew a few things about Aberdeen before joining up with them this week. I had heard how they beat Real Madrid in Europe in Gothenburg.

"They're an attractive team and players have to work hard to wear the jersey.

"I think moving to Aberdeen would be of benefit to my game. It's a higher standard of football than I am playing right now.

"They have seen what I can and what I can't do."
