Sunderland winger Adam Johnson is convinced getting away from Manchester City will reignite his England career.
Johnson believes his England career will flourish now he is at Sunderland.
The £10m Black Cats' winger is convinced regular football, which he didn't get at Manchester City, will help him stay in Roy Hodgson's Three Lions squad.
"You do get seen more - and have better opportunities to be seen - by England managers when you play for top four clubs, it's a fact," said Johnson, selected for England's World Cup squad for the upcoming qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine.
"But I'm part of the England set-up and I'm hoping that won't change."
