Joaquin admits he's keen to play on with Real Betis next season.

Joaquin is hoping that his hat-trick against Athletic Bilbao at the weekend will prompt talks of a contract renewal.

The 38-year-old had Betis leading 3-0 inside 20 minutes with the first treble of his career and he's not showing signs of slowing down in Andalusia.

"It's time to sit down and, if we agree, renew," Joaquin told Cope.

"I know that they're happy with me, and I'm happy too.

"It's a matter of happiness and I'd love to renew.

"I've always said that, and I want that even more at the moment because I'm enjoying myself and the team are doing well."
