Jesse Lingard: Passion of Forest fans gives me goosebumps

Nottingham Forest star Jesse Lingard has revealed that the atmosphere at the club's home stadium is unlike anything he has experienced.

The England star spent years playing for Manchester United, coming through the youth setup at the Old Trafford club.

He also spent time on loan at West Ham United almost two years ago.

However, Lingard is most impressed with Forest's City Ground.

"The atmosphere is one of the best I've experienced," he told The Athletic. "I get goosebumps every single time I hear them singing (Mull of Kintyre) before kick-off.

"The home games will be vital for us because we have our fans backing us and that does make a difference. It is a new experience; a different experience — but I am taking it on and loving it.

"I just like to enjoy the moment. I am in a good space. It can take a bit of time to settle in. But in the Tottenham game in particular, I felt so much more like myself.

"That carried on into the Palace game, I wanted to carry on. The break will have done us good. The training camp trip to Greece [training camp] will have helped with team bonding. It was a good chance to get to know people."
