Jedinak gives thanks to Crystal Palace assistant Popovic

Mile Jedinak has thanked Crystal Palace assistant Tony Popovic for helping him settle at the club.

The 27-year old midfielder landed at Selhurst Park from Turkish club Genclerbirligi during the European summer and says that fellow Australian Popovic has helped make life a lot easier.

''He's been helpful from the start, right from day dot when I got there," Jedinak said.

The former Central Coast Mariners star is currently with the Socceroos squad preparing for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Oman and says he is hoping to see some action after being involved in the 5-0 friendly romp of Malaysia on Friday night.

''I'm not too sure what's going to happen. I'm sure the coach has his own ideas and we'll get a better indication of that in the next few days,'' he added.

''Like anyone, I'm hoping to start, I got a little bit of game time against Malaysia, and I'm itching to get out there on Tuesday.''
