Newcastle United defender Daryl Janmaat has apologised for their 5-0 rout by Manchester City.
Janmaat delivered an apology from the Newcastle locker room after the humiliation.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "We say sorry, we have to apologise because it's not good enough.
"To come here you know it will be a hard evening.
"If you give a stupid goal away in the first minute you know it will make it even more difficult."
