Former Portsmouth striker James Keene has returned to Sweden.
Keene is currently training with Halmstad BK and has also attracted interest from Djurgården IF and IFK Gothenborg.
"He is working without a contract so we have hopes that we will get a dispensation because the transfer window does not open until mid-July," said HBK director Fredrik Andersson to Hallandsposten.se.
Keene has been in talks with South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs.
He played in the inaugural Hero Indian Super League last year with Northeast United.
