Everton youngster Jake Bidwell hopes his spell away on-loan leads to a chance at Goodison Park.
The left back has been cutting his teeth on loan at League OneBrentford since December and caught the eye in the Bees' impressive 4-0 rout of Carlisle on Monday.
"Although they push you in the reserves as close as they can, I think playing at this level makes you realise what you need to do and how much work it requires to make it in the Premier League.
"They always say there's nothing like getting first-team football. The experience of getting games in front of crowds, that's what reserve team football can't give you.
