Ivanovic says Chelsea can put distance on rivals

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic feels they can now turn the screw of their title rivals.

Only Arsenal won over the weekend to keep Jose Mourinho's men in sight, yet they, too, have been unconvincing thus far.

When asked if Chelsea's rivals for the championship have a lot of catching up to do, he told the London Evening Standard: "Yes but we have to work hard every game. They have dropped points but we have to use this moment and make a gap.

"We will have some bad moments and bad results for sure during the season. We have to be focused on ourselves.

"There are a lot of great teams and the season is long. You see the results and all the teams have great and bad moments. At the moment we look good, we look confident but we know it's just five games. We still have to be focused and work hard. We have to push ourselves and make better results.

"We have two more League games before the international break and we have to be focused on that and have to win."
