Ivanovic: CWC failure forced Chelsea players to make changes

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic admits the players were disappointed with themselves after their Club World Cup flop.

Chelsea lost the final to Corinthians in Japan.

Speaking in this month's edition of the official Chelsea Magazine, Ivanovic said: "After Japan, and losing one more trophy, the reaction of the players was very important. We could not look at the past, we had to look forward and focus on what we could still achieve.

"You can learn a lot from your experiences in football, when you know how it feels after disappointing games. After we came back from Japan we had to change. We have to be strong and we have to try to do everything to get the maximum out of this season."
