Italy U21 boss Pierluigi Casiraghi didn't think twice including Inter Milan duo Davide Santon and Mario Balotelli in his latest squad.
Both players have had their problems in recent weeks, but Casiraghi is only too happy to call on the pair.
"I don't know the internal problems at Inter, but these two players remain fundamental elements for me," said Casiraghi.
"Balotelli is struggling with consistency, that is his problem. He goes from playing brilliantly to not playing well enough.
"However, he, like Santon, is far too important. Balotelli can decide a game for you, while Santon brings personality to the side - something we need."
