Sacked Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo is being linked with the vacant manager's post at Everton.
Calciomercato.com reports that Everton are in talks with the 41-year-old, and will make a decision in the coming days.
The Italian could opt for a lower-profile job, with Sassuolo and Verona also claimed to be interested.
Pirlo was thrust in the high-pressure Juve hot-seat just nine days after being named the club's under-23 coach, replacing Mauricio Sarri.
Claudio Ranieri, the hero of Leicester's 2016 title victory, is also being linked after departing Sampdoria.
