The Italian Federation have fined former Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho.

New Real Madrid boss Mourinho may have left Serie A, but he still earned a €25,000 fine for an ill-judged jibe at Roma.

Mourinho caused controversy after the Coppa Italia Final, which saw his men beat the Giallorossi 1-0.

"Now that Roma have saved on money they would've paid in bonuses for winning the Coppa Italia, maybe they could give it to Siena instead as an incentive to beat us in the last Serie A game," said Mourinho.

He insisted it was a joke about the Scudetto race going down to the wire, but Roma were furious.
