Rangers first team coach Ian Durrant admits it would be a major problem if the club were lose star striker Nikica Jelavic in January.
Reports suggest that Championship club Leicester City are set to throw £7.5million at 'Gers to get the Croatian as they strive to gain promotion to the Premier League but Durrant has his fingers crossed that a move will not come to fruition.
"Of course it would be [a problem]. It's hard enough losing one of your top players. I just hope it doesn't happen," said Durrant.
"I see Nikica on a day to day basis and I feel that he wants to do well for our club and long may that continue. We want to hold on to everybody.
"Basically it's down to the player. If the player decides he wants to go and try something else, it's up to him.
"But the manager has spoken to Nikica and the likes of Allan McGregor and Steven Davis, and we are delighted they are still playing with Rangers. "
