It was surreal training with Cristiano Ronaldo - Bournemouth's King recalls Man Utd days

Bournemouth striker Joshua King fondly remembers his time at Manchester United.

The 23-year-old Norwegian striker joined the Red Devils academy in 2008 and developed his game alongside some of the club's greatest ever players, including Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

King remained at United until 2013 but now finds himself as one of Bournemouth's key players in their first ever Premier League campaign.

Having scored the winner against United on Saturday, King told the Daily Mail that he certainly has positive memories of his former club despite failing to force his way into the first team at Old Trafford.

"When you train with them and you see them every day and see what they do you learn so much," he said.

"I always remember Cristiano Ronaldo was the first one in and after training always stayed behind and practised free kicks or shooting.

"It was surreal, going from playing in Norway with my friends messing about to a couple of months later walking into the gym and seeing Cristiano Ronaldo."

King joined the Cherries from Blackburn Rovers in the summer and has since notched up 14 Premier League appearances with two goals to his name.
