IT'S DONE: Arnold makes FINAL decision on Greenwood and Man Utd future

Mason Greenwood WILL return to training at Manchester United next week.

United have concluded their internal review after Greenwood had assault charges dropped at the beginning of the year.

Chief exec Richard Arnold has decided to reinstate Greenwood and he will be welcomed back next week.

A source told The Sun: "This has been a long and difficult process for everyone involved, but it's nearing the end.

"The internal investigation is over and Mason is likely to be reinstated at Old Trafford.

"He's made no secret of his desire to to get back to doing what he does best.

"He's already got the backing of the players and manager Erik ten Hag. He's just waiting for the green light.

"The club will communicate its decision as early as Tuesday after the women's World Cup final."

Greenwood could yet be sent out on-loan for the season, but he will start training with his teammates from next.
