Benito Floro has named his 24-man Canada squad for upcoming friendlies with Iceland.
The Canucks take on the Icelandic side on January 16 and 19 at the University of Central Florida in Orlando and Floro will take with him a roster mixed with experienced internationals and uncapped youngsters.
Included in the squad is veteran midfielder Dwayne De Rosario, who will be suiting up for his 80th and 81st caps, Indian Super League player of the tournament Iain Hume and Montreal Impact skipper Patrice Bernier.
Those receiving their first Canada call-ups are goalkeeper Sean Melvin (Vancouver Whitecaps Residency), Kevon Black (Toronto FC Academy), Christopher Mannella (Toronto FC) and Jonathan Grant (Sigma FC).
Of the squad, Floro said: "We always do things in order to win the game. However, it is true in a friendly game the aim is to play well in addition to gaining a result.
"We need to develop a good defensive structure. But it's true to that winning games is always a happy time, so our intention is to play well and to win the games."
