Isco was again outstanding for Real Betis in yesterday's 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid.
The former Real Madrid midfielder has been named man-of-the-match in his first two games for Betis.
Isco said, "I am feeling well. I am very happy to arrive at a club like Real Betis and more with the welcome that the coach and everyone in the club have given me, which has been very good.
"I am better than I expected, it is a long time without competing, but I feel good. Hopefully we can enjoy and have a very good season. I really want to help.
"I have had difficult times. In the end I decided to stop for a while because I needed it, not only physically, but to mentally recycle myself. I have had family and psychological help. Mental health is very important and we must give it its place. I have been through difficult times because of everything that has happened.
"Then I had several offers, but I didn't feel ready. Now I have recycled and I am mentally strong. In the end it is soccer, it is my place and I am happy to be back.
"I was not surprised by what the Betis is because I see the players, the atmosphere there is and how many players are looking forward to returning. Joaquín and Ceballos have spoken very well to me about the team, something that Ramón Planes and the mister have also done. I appreciate everything that happened because it is something that has brought me here. Here is a great atmosphere, both in the stands and in the locker room."
