Ipswich boss Jim Magilton has admitted he would be keen to bring Thomas Sorenson and Richard Wright to Portman Road.
Sorenson lost his place in the Aston Villa first team to on-loan goalkeeper Scott Carson and is eager for a challenge, while former Town favourite Wright is also out of favour at West Ham.
Magilton told the Ipswich Evening Star: "Sorensen's agent told us he was not prepared to drop down a division and wanted to stay in the Premier League. If he became available and wanted to come to us we would speak to him."
He added: "If Wrighty wants to come and play he would be welcomed back. A lot of players are prepared to sit in the reserves and not drop down and it baffles me."
