Inverness Caley snap up ex-Aberdeen keeper Esson

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have snapped up former Aberdeen goalkeeper Ryan Esson on a two year deal.

The 28-year-old spent six years at Pittodrie before switching to Shrewsbury Town in 2006. He recently signed a short term contract with Hereford United as the club secured their promotion to League One.

Caley midfielder Russell Duncan believes Esson can make a strong impact in Inverness: "It will be good to have him on board.

"He will offer keen competition for Michael Fraser as he's got a fair bit of experience."
