Inverness Caley chairman Fraser insists Niculae can stay

New Inverness Caley chairman George Fraser insists they can hold onto star Romanian striker Marius Niculae.

Fraser said: "To put on record the way I see it, Marius was brought to the club on the basis of sponsorship by Orion. In the end, Alan injected £275,000 in shares into the club.

"You can read it whichever way you want but the share investment was done at the same time as the Marius deal.

"As far as next year is concerned, Marius has been included in our overall budget.

"It would also be fantastic for Inverness to have a representative at the European Championship.

"It will be down to Craig Brewster and our director of football Graeme Bennett what happens next year. But Niculae's future is very much a football decision."
