Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Terry Butcher is confident of keeping Billy McKay at the club.
The 24-year old striker, who has netted 20 goals in all competition this season, still has a year to run on his current deal but Butcher feels he can keep him at Caley for longer.
"Billy has got another year with us but I think if we can agree on things he'll sign for a year on top of that," he said.
"He loves it here. It's not quite on the table yet but we're talking. Billy's very open to that."
Butcher added: "Billy's up there with (Celtic's) Gary Hooper and has a £25million buy-out clause in his contract!
"I'd hate to part with him or even think about him going.
"You'd have to weigh up any offers against what the player can give you until the end of the season.
"A top-six place is worth a lot of money to us so it would have to be an unbelievable offer."
