Inter president Moratti urges Man City to take Maicon in Tevez swap

Inter Milan are trying to convince Manchester City to take Douglas Maicon in exchange for Carlos Tevez. Inter president Massimo Moratti was in Dublin on the weekend to discuss Tevez's situation with City directors and manager Roberto Mancini.

City are insisting on a straight cash sale, but the Gazzetta dello Sport says Moratti urged them to consider taking Maicon in part-exchange.

Samuel Eto'o has also been mentioned and the Cameroon striker has informed Moratti he is open to moving to City.

The Inter president would prefer to keep hold of the 29 year-old and could improve his contract to keep him happy.
