Swiss attacker Xheridan Shaqiri is ready to snub Stoke City's advances much to the disappointment of boss Mark Hughes.
Hughes had been eyeing the 23-year-old midfielder and was confident of sealing a deal, but Shaqiri is reported not to favour a move to England according to the Daily Star.
Hughes tried in vain to convince the former Bayern Munich man, who joined Inter in January, but he looks set to miss out on his key transfer target.
The Staffordshire outfit have also been rocked by the news that influential midfielder Steven N'Zonzi is demanding an exit from the Britannia Stadium but will demand £10million for the Frenchman.
Hughes has already signed former Real Madrid striker Joselu from Hannover this summer, but will have to continue his search for an attacking midfielder.
