Inter Milan winger Buchanan: I always looked up to Ronaldo

Taj Buchanan is full of pride being an Inter Milan player.

The Canada winger arrived in January from Club Brugge.

He told the Inter matchday programme: "Brampton is my home, where it all began, it's the city I represent. At the age of 8 I realised I fell in love with this sport, from there football became very important and something special began.

"I traveled to different cities, if I look back today I know it was a long journey but it's something that makes me extremely proud and happy because it brought me here today."

Asked for the important moments in his career, Buchanan said: "There have been several in my career, from my debut in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid at Bruges to my first match at the World Cup with Canada, a dream come true.

"I always try to remember why I have loved this sport since I was a child and to have fun on the pitch. Playing professional football is something I have always wanted and I am very grateful and proud. Wearing this shirt means a lot, it is a dream come true, something I have always worked for. In the history of this club there are many champions, for me the number one is Ronaldo, he is a player I have always admired, a football legend."
