Inter Milan plan to test the resolve of Newcastle United for winger Hatem Ben Arfa.

The France international has enjoyed an outstanding 2012 and Inter chief Marco Branca is weighing up a bid for the midfielder, says the People.

Agent Frederic Guerra recently said: "Hatem is having a great time at Newcastle, where he hopes to achieve qualification to next season's Champions League on the final day of the Premier League.

"He just is not thinking of a move to Italy or elsewhere. Inter? Nothing is true."
