Inter Milan are interested in Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.

Khedira, off contract in June, is in advanced talks over a Bosman move with Schalke, but the Bundesliga club cannot match his demands.

Inter see Khedira as a cheaper alternative to Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.

Nerazzurri chiefs believe they will need to put aside €60 million to sign Toure, whereas Khedira is seeking €4 million-a-year to join on a Bosman transfer.

Along with Schalke, Khedira's representatives have also offered the German to Arsenal and Manchester United.
