Inter Milan have told Manchester City it will take £34 million to sign striker Mario Balotelli.
A City delegation was in Milan last week to thrash out a deal for the striker, 19, although an opening offer of £20m was rebuffed.
A renewed effort to reunite Balotelli with former Inter coach Roberto Mancini is expected this week, although City are likely to offer less than the European champions' asking price, with the remainder payable in performance-related instalments, says the Daily Mail.
Progress has stalled because Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola has been busy sorting out Martin Jol's move from Ajax to Fulham.
