Inter Milan striker Pazzini feels primed for derby showdown

Inter Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini feels in prime form for their looming derby against AC Milan.

The 26-year-old Italy international scored the winner against Lecce on Sunday and helped Inter close the gap with League leader's Milan to just two points.

"It's my first derby and I can't wait for it to arrive, but it will not be the game that decides our season," Pazzini said. "There will be another seven after it.

"It's a shame that there won't be Lucio. His tackle was instinctive, but I understand it: I too have been cautioned and every now and again you think about it.

"Before the game, we said to each other: 'We've been looking for this opportunity. We've sweated for it and now, after all this hard work, we can't let it go to waste.

"Because the strength of this team is knowing its strength: it's this consciousness that allows us not to hurry."
