Former Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder is excited about joining Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan. The Dutchman said: "Leaving Madrid is not a defeat. Inter are one of the biggest clubs in the world, for four years they have been Italian champions, and I am proud to wear the Nerazzurra jersey.
"In the last two weeks, Mourinho has sent me a lot of text messages in which he didn't miss the chance to make me understand just how much he wants to have me at Inter.
"It will be a pleasure to work with him," Sneijder said before returning to the subject of Madrid.
"Without wanting to seem immodest, I believe that I am worth a lot more than a place on the bench, even at Real.
"This is a World Cup year and I want to go there as a protagonist," he concluded.
On his treatment by Real Madrid, Sneijder snapped: "What happened with me is a very rare thing. The mister says that he counts on me but there are people within the club who don't.
"They have treated me very bad, but I prefer not to speak, really."
