Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli is attracting interest from West Ham who are in dire need of more strike power.
Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola is keen to add a striker to his squad after a limp performance in attack against Tottenham in Wednesday's Asia Trophy match in Beijing.
The Italian tactician sent club chief executive Scott Duxbury and sporting director Gianluca Nani to Milan in a bid to secure the services of 18-year old Balotelli.
"It would be in both our interests if he came to West Ham," Zola said.
"There's no place for him at Inter and he's a natural talent. He is extroverted and knows his attitude can upset people, but he's intelligent and still learning to handle situations."
