Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti spent part of his Sunday in a long phone hook-up with Roberto Mancini. Aware Mancini is now on shaky ground at Manchester City after they dropped more points at home to Sunderland, Moratti called Mancini yesterday and spoke with him at length about his future plans, says Tuttosport.

The door to a sensational move to Inter is now open to Mancini and Moratti told the ex-Nerazzurri coach he can return if he is dumped by City at the end of the season.
