Inter Milan hope to smooth negotiations for Goran Pandev by offering a player to Lazio.

Pandev is officially a free agent after having his Lazio contract ripped up by a Lega Calcio tribunal this week.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has threatened to appeal, but Inter counterpart hopes to temper the fall-out by offering a young player to the Romans as a gesture of goodwill.

The likely candidate is primavera starlet Mattia Destro.
